Whose Car Is That? A Scan Answers, Not a Guess

A car parked in the wrong slot, or blocking someone else’s, is one of the most common small disputes in any society — and usually the only way to resolve it is asking around the building, checking with security, or waiting for whoever it belongs to to show up. None of that is fast, and none of it scales past a building or two.

One sticker, one scan, no app required

Nivas Portal generates a printable, QR-coded sticker for every registered vehicle. Scanning it with any phone camera opens a plain contact page showing the vehicle’s basic details — make, unit, assigned slot — and a way to reach someone about it. By default that’s the security desk. A unit’s owner can separately, explicitly turn on “Share owner’s number on QR scan” for their own vehicle, which routes the scan straight to them by call or WhatsApp instead — off unless they choose it, never the other way round.

  • Direct owner contact is opt-in per vehicle, set by that vehicle’s own owner — nobody’s number is exposed without them explicitly turning it on.
  • Scanning needs no account and no app install — a delivery driver or a neighbor who’s never touched the portal can still use it.
  • The lookup is server-verified against that one sticker’s own token, not a searchable list — scanning one sticker can’t surface any other vehicle’s information.
Why this matters: a parking dispute is usually just “whose car is this,” with no fast, non-awkward way to find out. A scan replaces asking around the building with an actual answer.

This is an identification and contact tool, not a tracking system — it reveals only what that vehicle’s own sticker points to, and only as much contact detail as its owner has agreed to share.
